Norfolk Botanical Gardens is something like Wonderland near Flag. Really: 155 acres, over 30 themed gardens, 12 miles of paths, one of the country's best collections of azaleas and camelias, and tours by foot, tram, or boat. There's even an adventure garden for kids.

But it's the holidays, and that means a little more fairy dust. Starting on Thanksgiving, the Gardens will be illuminated by over a million bulbs, a dazzling display for your family to drive through.
