It’s the Month of the Military Child: Here’s Where to Find Events in Your Area
April 26, 2018
The Month of the Military Chlid is a nation-wide celebration first began in 1986, when Defense Secretary Caspar Weinberger established April as a time to recognize the unique sacrifices made by children of military members. This celebration aims to raise awareness about the unique challenges faced by military children and honor their sacrifices for our country.
There are 1.2 million military children around the world, which makes the Month of the Military Child especially important in many families' lives. This month, pay special attention to the children around you and, if you can, keep an eye out for events around the country and in your area.
